  • Q: What trains serve Union Depot?
    • A: Union Depot serves as the Amtrak station in the Twin Cities, with two Empire Builder trains each day. The Metro Transit Green Line light rail station is directly in front of Union Depot, on 4th Street, with daily service.
  • Q: What bus lines serve Union Depot?
  • Q: How can I get in contact with Megabus?
    • Megabus does not have a ticket office inside of Union Depot. They can be reached at (877) 462.6342
  • Q: Where can I purchase my fare to ride the Green Line?
    • Use cash or a credit card to buy a ticket from the ticket machine on the station platform or validate your Go-To Card or pass at the card reader on the platform. Union Depot Station is located in front of our building on 4th Street. Learn more about Metro Transit Fares.
  • Q: Where is your drop off/pick up area?
    • Union Depot has multiple drop off/pick up areas.
    • There is a curb cut located in front of our 240 E Kellogg Blvd entrance. This is a no parking area.
    • There is a free 15 minute drop off/pick up area located adjacent to Lot B and accessible from the intersection at Kellogg Blvd and Broadway Street.
    • The Carriage Way, located in the lower level of the Head House and accessible from Sibley Street just north of Kellogg, offers ADA accessibility to the building at 214 E 4th Street.
  • Q: How much does it cost to park at Union Depot?
    • A: Parking is convenient and close with a variety of options available. Visit our Parking section for more details on costs and location.
  • Q: How do I reserve an event space?
    • A: We’re so glad you are considering Union Depot for your event! Please fill out the Book an Event form to get your request started. Indoor and outdoor venues are available, accommodating groups from 50 to 3000 people. Union Depot hosts public, private and corporate events of all kinds.
  • Q: How can I find out about upcoming public events?
    • A: Please check our calendar. Also, follow Union Depot on Facebook and Twitter for updates, and sign up for our monthly newsletter.
  • Q: Are there public tours of Union Depot?
    • Yes, please check our events calendar for the latest schedule. Public tours are free.
  • Q: What are your building policies?
    • In order to help ensure a pleasant and safe environment, all visitors must comply with state, county, and city laws, ordinances and statues. In addition, we ask all visitors to abide by our Code of Conduct.

  • Q: What services does the Union Depot Security Department Provide?
    • Union Depot is committed to the safety of all guests, visitors and travelers, making security a top priority. During the restoration of the facility a variety of measures were implemented to protect both people and property. The facility is staffed at all times to ensure safe passage for visitors.   • Q: Does Union Depot maintain a lost and found?
    • A: Yes, please send a note to info@uniondepot.org or call Security at 651.202.2717. We generally hold items for 30 days. Unclaimed items are donated to a local charity.
