Union Depot will Host Annual Doggie Depot Event February 4 with Canine Experts, Pet Adoptions, Vendor Marketplace, Dog Yoga and More

Union Depot will go to the dogs for a day when it hosts Doggie Depot, the popular annual celebration of all things canine, on Saturday, February 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, is being sponsored by Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota and will be held in conjunction with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. People and their pooches will enjoy informative dog programming, canine adoption with more than a dozen local pet rescue organizations, a pet vendor marketplace, a dog yoga class, a pet photographer, and the crowning of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Canine-King Boreas and Canine-Queen of Snows.

New this year will be “Doga,” a yoga class for pet owners and their dogs that will take place at 11 a.m. Owners and their “dogis” will be led in the Downward Dog and other movements and breathing techniques by a professional yoga instructor, resulting in a happy pack. Tickets are $10 per pet/owner pair with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting the two winning pet charities from the dog coronation contest.   • Crowning of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Canine-King Boreas and Canine-Queen of Snows
  • Doga: Yoga with Your Dog! Breathe and stretch with your favorite “dogi,” in a class led by a professional instructor, and become a happy pack.
