Duluth Weekend Getaway

All aboard the Jefferson Lines at Union Depot for a traffic-free weekend getaway in beautiful Duluth.

  1. FRIDAY: This northern weekend getaway gets started with a Friday evening Jefferson Lines bus ride. Before you head out of town, park your car at Union Depot and grab a quick bite to eat at Black Dog Cafe in Lowertown. After your delicious meal, head back to Union Depot and take a stroll through the beautifully renovated Waiting Room before your bus arrives. Then grab your bags and hop on the Jefferson Lines bus for Duluth! Enjoy a stress-free ride with a book or some music.
  1. SATURDAY: Sleep in! Grab lunch at one of the favorite local restaurants, such as Fitger’s Brewhouse or Pickwick Restaurant & Pub, and savor a walk along Lake Superior. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you make your way to Canal Park. Be sure to check out the Canal Park Lighthouse—a staple sightseeing attraction in Duluth. In the evening, head over to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center for a show! DECC is home to Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Broadway series, concerts, home and sports shows, Minnesota Ballet, UMD men’s and women’s hockey and the William A. Irvin ore boat museum. The Great Lakes Aquarium is a short walk away.
  1. SUNDAY: Rise and shine with breakfast at The Amazing Grace Bakery and Café where you can enjoy fresh baked bread and organic foods. After breakfast, it’s time to head home. Hop on the bus and enjoy a Sunday afternoon nap before arriving back in St. Paul.
